For the ADA Pathway Improvements from Main Street to Transit Center, Funded by CDBG Project, which requires the Contractor to have a Class A or combination of Class C licenses to perform all aspects of the project. PROJECT COMPLETION: Contractor shall begin work within ten (10) days after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete the project within thirty (30) working days after that work begins (mobilization). PROJECT BUDGET/ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: The City of Visalia does not provide an Engineer's Estimate, however the total approved Project Budget for the ADA Pathway Improvements from Main Street to Transit Center, Funded by CDBG Project is approximately $500,000 which is an estimate of the total project delivery costs. This project is supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number B-23-MC-06-0035, awarded to City of Visalia by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Federal Funds being utilized for this project are Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG). Bids are required for the entire work. QUESTIONS: Direct questions regarding this Project to the Purchasing Department, at (559) 713-4334 or email: purchasing@visalia.city. Questions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023. PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT: Bidders/Contractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). In addition, contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to CLC section 1725.5 to be qualified to bid, be listed in a bid proposal, or perform any public work for the City. Proof of registration for each contractor and subcontractor is required to bid. This project will be subject to all applicable Federal and State Wage Determinations. The Contractor will be responsible for paying Federal and State wages from the determinations for all trades. Awarded Contractor will be required to furnish electronic payroll records for project to the Labor Commissioner. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. THE CITY HEREBY AFFIRMATIVELY ENSURES that Minority Business Enterprises and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this notice. Individuals and/or entities submitting bids/proposals to the City of Visalia will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, or military and veteran status in any consideration leading to the award of contract.
