Aurora, MN - Raw Water Intake Structure - East Range Joint Water Project (AUROR 159723) Major components of the Work include: Caisson and Intake Shaft 12' ID Vertical Caisson, 33.5' deep 150' Long, 18" Diameter Horizontal Intake Pipe Installed from shore into Mine Lake at a 26' Depth Accessories SS Intake Screen SS Slide Gate 4" Carrier pipes for air line and chemical feed 2 Raw Water pumps and motors Piping, fittings, and valves Precast Wall Panels Metal Panel Roof System Mechanical HVAC Painting Process instrumentation and controls Standby Generator Raw Water Main Clearing and Grubbing Work Landscaping Driveway Minimum General Contractor Qualifications: The Bidder shall have experience successfully completing work on at least two (2) of the following: booster stations, or vertical turbine pump stations, or three (3) water intake facilities. Of these, the Bidder must have experience of successfully completing work on at least two (2) of these projects in the last 7 years as a General Contractor. Work experience constructing water intake facilities must include: deep caisson construction, water intake pipe and screen installation below water surface, and subsurface pipe installation. This Work is being funded by a Drinking Water Revolving Fund Loan through the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority and shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, State Prevailing Wages for Highway and Heavy Construction. The project also includes DBE and M/WBE goals and is required to comply with American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements. The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the Owner. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The determination of the low bid for Bid Award will be based on the Sum Total Amount of the Base Bid and all of the Add Alternates. The City reserves the right to award the base bid and any combination (if any) of the Add Alternates as determined by the City to be in its best interest. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Aurora.
