The City of Independence Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department is seeking respondents to provide a Master Plan that will assess current conditions of the parks, trails, green spaces, recreation facilities, park maintenance facilities and programming in the City of Independence and develop strategies for growth, improvement, funding, staffing and maintenance. Strategies should include assessment of overall park properties, current facilities, revenue sources, operations, and the development of a new recreation facility. Please submit all questions regarding this Request for Qualifications online by October 18, 2023, 5:00 pm. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) must be submitted by the scheduled date. The recommended length of the RFQ is no more than twenty (20) pages. All text information should be shown in a readable font, size 12 points or larger. Headers, footers, charts, and other graphics may be provided in a different font type and size providing they are legible. A single-page cover letter and table of contents will not be counted as part of the recommended 20-page maximum. Resumes, license and certifications may be provided and will not count against the page maximum. It is preferred that all resumes be limited to one page. Include contact information for the one team member who will be the City's point of contact. Responders are encouraged to thoroughly address the requirements of the RFQ for the highest quality response. Responses should include: A. Cover sheet, completed and signed B.
