The purpose of this contract is for forest stand improvement of approximately 430 acres of forest resources and wildlife habitat on Army lands in the Piney Woods Region of Northeast Texas, on the Red River Army Depot (RRAD). The project consist of applying herbicide for forestry purposes on the 430 acres to control unwanted and undesirable species. Army Regulation 200-1, Environmental Protection and Enhancement requires that installations inventory and manage their forest resources. The forest stand improvement is needed to more effectively manage for the conditions required by the Army on the lands to help support the mission, improve wildlife habitat, and to maintain the current ecosystem integrity of the stands by killing encroaching and invasive species. SUBMISSION OF QUESTIONS: Any questions regarding this Request for Quote (RFQ) must be received by 12 Oct 2023 at 1400 hrs. (2:00 PM CST). Questions shall be submitted by email to contract specialist at robert.l.lamb10.civ@army.mil. Responses to questions are not considered changes to the RFQ as the only way the RFQ can be modified is through an amendment that will be issued. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. Upon receipt of questions, the Government will provide answers to all questions by email. Contractors will be notified if an extension is needed to respond to the questions submitted. The contract period shall be June through September 30, 2024.
