The last day to submit questionsis October 20, 2023, by 5 p.m. An addendum answering all questions received will be issued by October 25, 2023. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or an approved bidder's bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum total bid, payable to the City of Seguin, Texas, without recourse, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the award of contract. The City of Seguin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities Questions regarding interpretation of specifications, bids, bid results or bid awards should be directed in writing to the Buyer indicated in the General and/or Technical Specifications or to the Purchasing Manager, twood@seguintexas.gov and be referenced by bid number and bid title. The City of Seguin intends to hire one (1) highly qualified general contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and insurance as required for the construction of one (1) concrete basketball court, as specified herein, within the Future Park Property located at 450 Dolle Avenue, Seguin, Texas. 2.0 Bidders are encouraged to visit the lighted basketball court at Seguin's Park West located at 809 San Antonio Avenue. The City's intention is to duplicate the Park West example at the Future Park Property. Excavate and construct a new concrete basketball court per the specifications on sheet C2. 4.0 The finished concrete basketball court should be approximately 1 to 4 inches above the existing grade, depending on the overall grade. Backfill as needed. 5.0 Apply one (1) coat of textured acrylic resurfacer over the entire court. 6.0 Apply two (2) coats of textured color (dark green) over the entire court. 7.0 Apply textured white lines per the specifications. 8.0 Furnish and install basketball goals per the specifications.
