The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: 1. Karen Drive: Reshape approximately 100 foot of ditches on private property, with approximately 285 foot of Storm Sewer, drainage structures, and connection to existing Storm Sewer in curb line. 2. Rosewood Drive: Reshape approximately 700 foot of ditches along the roadway and in the public R.O.W., replace approximately 115 foot of CMP culverts, and connection to existing Storm Sewer. 3. Wilcox Lane: Reshape approximately 1355 foot of roadway ditches and replace approximately 350 foot of CMP culverts. 4. Sullivan Drive: Approximately 705 foot of Storm Sewer, drainage structures and connection to existing Storm Sewer. 5. The work includes landscape and pavement restoration and traffic control. All proposals must be accompanied by a BANK DRAFT, CASHIER'S CHECK, OR CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to Treasurer, Decatur, Illinois, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid or BID BOND in the same amount. (1) Ten (10) Percent (%) of the total dollar amount of the contract should be performed by minority business enterprises if subcontracting opportunities are available and/or Ten (10) Percent (%) of the total dollar amount of the contract should be for the purchase of goods, material and equipment to Minority Business Enterprises (2) Eighteen (18) Percent (%) of the total hours worked should be performed by minority workers. The Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, reserves the right to accept, renegotiate or reject any or all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instructions for bidders. At the discretion of the Council, required items may be submitted after the bid opening if there is sufficient compliance with instructions at the time of the bid opening to permit the City to determine the price bid In addition to project questions, the opportunity will be provided to discuss the City's minority participation goals.
