This work consists of furnishing all necessary equipment, labor, material, and supervision to rehabilitate the fire suppression systems at METRO's Central Store facility located at 1220 McCarty Street Houston TX 77029(Key map 495J). The facility was constructed in 1985. The fire alarm and the fire sprinkler systems installed in this warehouse building have been modified to comply with the City of Houston (COH) current fire code in 2017. Currently the facility can stack materials up to 12 feet high. The goal is to stack materials up to 16 feet or higher. But it can't be done since the City of Houston Fire Department (HFD) Hazmat/High Piled Storage Team issued a Notice of Violation (NOV) on October 22, 2014, for the Central Stores Facility. To retain the high pile storage permit, a fire pump and break tank will be needed for higher water pressure as per City Fire Marshall to stack materials at 16 feet or higher elevation. The current project consists of installing an electric fire pump, break tank, natural gas generator and backflow preventer. Questions Due Date Oct 18th 2023, 5:00 PM CDT
