Reference Number 0000331922 The Town of Smithfield (Town) and the Smithfield Water Supply Board (SWSB) is seeking sealed Bids for the North Providence Pressure Control Project. This project includes the installation of pressure reducing valves (PRV) for pressure control along Smithfield Road in North Providence and the installation of new water main to close the loop on two dead ends in the system on Cavalry Drive and Douglas Pike in Smithfield, RI. Participation Requirements - Minority Business Participation - Women-Owned Business Participation General Requirements - Insurance Required - Required -Time of completion is set at 200 days following the Notice to Proceed to complete all work. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - 100 % -- The successful Bidder must furnish a and a Labor and Material , in the specific formats as attached herein, both for the full value of the Bid Price, along with all required insurance certificates, within ten (10) calendar days after the award date in order to execute a Contract. All Bidders must comply with the State of Rhode Island requirements regarding the participation of minority/women's business enterprises (MBE/WBE's) or DBE in the of this contract. The successful bidder will be required to include in their bid documents for subcontractors and MBE/WBE's "Fair Share" percentage which totals at least 10 percent (10%) of the dollar value of the entire procurement or project. *The Town/SWSB reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularity in the Bids received, and to accept the Bid or parts thereof deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of the Town/SWSB.
