Labor and Materials to remove existing gas pumps and concrete pad and replace with new concrete fueling mat and reinstall gas pumps at Freetown Highway Department. Contractor Qualification: Highway Division Question Deadline 10/12/2023 at 12:00 PM ET Bidders shall make written requests to Deborah Pettey, procurement@freetownma.gov In accordance with M.G.L. 30 39 - Public Works (NON-Building) Construction Contracts with labor, the Town of Freetown, MA is seeking quotations from qualified vendors to remove and replace the concrete fueling mat at the Highway Department, 201 Chace Road, East Freetown, MA. Must be completed over three-four days if possible utilizing weekend hours if possible. 1) Notify Dig Safe of limits of Digging 2) Apply for Permits (fees will be waived) 3) Drain product in lines prior to removing existing dual product dispenser 4) Provide electrician and mechanic to disconnect existing dispenser conduit and piping. Existing MPD to be put aside and reused after mat replacement. 5) Remove existing pump 6) Demolish, remove and legally dispose of the existing 42ft X 1 Oft concrete fueling pad. Saw cut or direct break away the existing pad along the front face to preserve the steel protective bollards for re-use if possible. 7) Saw cut the existing asphalt surface around the area to create a smooth edge to pour the new concrete pad up against. 8) Furnish and install 3/8 Pea Stone or 14" Processed Gravel necessary to prepare the sub base for the new concrete pad. 9) Construct, Form and Pour one approximately 42ft X 10ft X 8-inch-thick steel reinforced concrete pad with 4000 PSI Concrete with Spill Grooves around all four sides for Vehicle Fueling. 10) Saw Cut the new concrete pad the day after the pour for expansion crack prevention. 11) Seal Concrete Mat 12) Reattach, plumb & wire the removed pump 13) Asphalt Restoration is the responsibility of others
