The Work includes: New reinforced concrete long crested weir structures, new reinforced concrete floor caps for existing long crested weir structures, saw cutting new gate openings through existing structure walls, installation of metal sluice gates furnished by others, and demolition of an existing concrete canal structure. The bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid and made payable to Henry Miller Reclamation District No. 2131 (District). The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds to be secured from a financially responsible surety company, satisfactory to the District, authorized to do business in the State of California. The Work is "public work" subject to prevailing wages. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, however, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bid, and to postpone the date of bid opening.
