The Project scope includes, but is not limited to, the demolition and removal of the existing multi-purpose tent and kitchen trailer, along with associated ramps, walkways, mechanical equipment removal of existing playground equipment construction of a new building addition that includes a multipurpose room/gymnasium; construction of new fields and playground areas construction of a new outdoor classroom area and the mill, overlay and re-striping of the Kenilworth ES parking lot. The demolition of the multi-purpose tent, kitchen trailer, walkways and ramps shall not take place until the building addition is able to be put in operation by the school. Question Deadline 10/13/2023 at 2:00 PM ET Questions about this RFP shall be submitted to the portal no later than The Department will not be accepted after this date. submit with their Proposals a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of bid amount, in the form included as Attachment F. All bonding companies must be included on the Department of Treasury s Listing of Approved Sureties. Alternatively, Offerors may submit a cashiers check in lieu of a bid bond. However, in the event an Offeror who is awarded the Agreement fails to post a payment and performance bond for the full value of the Agreement, the Offeror shall thereby forfeit the full amount of the cashiers check, and the Department shall collect such funds. If the Offeror chooses to submit a cashiers check in lieu of a bid bond, the Offeror must complete the form included as Attachment N and return, notarized, with the Offerors Proposal. The Contractor and all of its subcontractors and subconsultants (regardless of tier) shall comply with all applicable District of Columbia, state, and federal licensing, accreditation, and registration requirements and standards necessary for the performance of the Agreement. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all drawings shall be signed and sealed by a professional architect or engineer licensed in the District of Columbia. The Department has an approved budget (Project Budget) of $11,500,000.00 for this Project. The Substantial Completion Date is July 15, 2025 (the Substantial Completion Date) Final Completion Date October 15, 2025 Department reserves the right to modify this schedule as it finds necessary, in its sole discretion.
