Boiler Room Repairs - To provide repairs in the Boiler Room including but not limited to, Slab Demolition, at a Judicial Branch location in Hartford, Connecticut. Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price Performance Bond is required. The Contractor shall submit a Performance Bond in an amount equal to the total contract price. For any contract that exceeds $100,000, the contractor must furnish a bond in the contract amount for the protection of persons supplying labor or materials hereunder. Bids are subject to rejection in whole or in part if they limit or modify any of the terms and/or specifications set forth herein. SUMMARY OF WORK The Contractor shall, at minimum, provide the following: Demolition and complete removal and disposal of a portion of an existing 10" thick concrete framed floor slab. o Removal of an existing non-load bearing CMU wall. o Design and installation oftemporary shoring. o Procurement and installation ofsafety fencing to be installed at an existing entrance door. o Installation of dust proof partitions around existing utilities to remain. o Temporary re-support of existing utilities to remain operational during demolition work. o Refer to the specifications, manual and drawings for more detailed information regarding this project.
