Douglas County West Campus Tree Removal: Douglas County is requesting quotes from qualified companies, herein called Bidder, Contractor, Vendor, Supplier, or other pronouns used in their place. Each contractor by submitting a bid affirms that he has visited the site, has familiarized himself with the local conditions and understands all specifications of the bid. Douglas County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Work shall proceed as negotiated with the successful bidder following Notice to Proceed. Project timeline: The County would like the work completed as soon as possible. Remove all trees designated for removal. Vehicles and other equipment to be used by the Contractor are to be operated within County-defined limits on the property, as coordinated by the County's Environmental Services Department. Contractor. Trees marked in yellow caution tape shall be removed with a flush cut to grade. Remaining debris shall be chipped and left in the tree line. Trees marked in orange tape shall be removed and remaining stumps grinded out. Grind out the stumps a minimum of 8" below grade, remove stump grindings, and fill with clean backfill to match the existing grade. Remove and dispose of all debris, with the exception of wood chips which can remain on site in a designated area as coordinated with Environmental Services' staff. If debris is taken to a landfill it must be taken to the Douglas County Pheasant Point Landfill. Contractor to identify where the debris will be taken. Repair all areas disturbed during this work.
