Cleaning and repainting the interior and exterior surfaces of elevated potable water storage tanks, and miscellaneous repairs consisting of tank hatch, ladders, water level indicators, ventilation structures repairs/replacement. The Project has an expected duration of 110 days. A pre-bid conference for the Project will not be held. Question Deadline 10/26/2023 at 12:00 PM CT Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. David Williams by email at dwilliams@mtgengineers.com The work of this section includes the preparation of and coating of all interior surfaces and the painting of all exterior surfaces of the steel water storage tank, support structure, and appurtenances. B. Protective coatings shall be applied to the following surfaces: 1. All interior and exterior tank metal surfaces including bowl, roof, support structures, rods, piping, risers, valves, ladders, hatches, doors, landings, vents, handrails, conduits, and all other appurtenances, except for those listed inItem 1.01 C. C. The following shall not be coated and shall be protected from drips, overspray, etc. unless indicated otherwise: 1. Stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum piping, materials and equipment. 2. Safety climb devices. D. Contain, treat, and dispose of any dust, spray, drainage, or spillage resulting from coating operations. It shall be the Contractoris responsibility to determine if the materials to be disposed of are classified as Hazardous Waste. Disposal of waste, hazardous or otherwise, shall be in accordance with applicable regulations. The Contractor shall be aware of and understand the regulations concerning disposal of waste generated by coating operations
