This item shall consist of replacing two (2) existing flat plate claim units, five (5) chop doors and two (2) MCP for claim units 1 and 2 at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. The contractor will need to demo and remove the existing claim units, remove the existing chop doors, dispose of the scrap metal appropriately, replace flat plate claim units and chop doors, provide and install new MCP per claim unit which will include new panels, new internal components, field wiring, and alarms. All phasing should have minimal impact on daily operations. All circuit breakers, wire and cable connections, and necessary conduits and fittings should all be in place from the existing configuration. Work shall include the testing of the installation and all incidentals necessary to place the bag claim units in operation to the satisfaction of the Airport. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS: Equipment for the project is referenced in the modified plan set and any questions regarding specifics will be addressed in an addendum. The scope of this project is pulled from a larger expansion and rehabilitation set of plans and specifications. Specifications can be provided if needed in addition to photographs and plan excerpts provided in this bid package. The portion of the scope replaces like components and configuration as existing just with new mechanical and controls components. CONSTRUCTION METHODS: PLACING THE BAG CLAIM UNITS- The contractor shall furnish and install each bag claim unit as specified to replace the existing units in the same locations. Construct a temporary wall between the units. Demo and install one (1) claim unit at a time without delay before demo and installation of the second unit. Question Deadline 10/18/2023 at 3:00 PM CT
