This contract consists of construction of a Waste Convenience Center and all other necessary appurtenances. The engineer's estimate is $3,200,000. The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following: City of Paris, City Hall, 525 High Street, Paris, KY 40361 Kenvirons, 770 Wilkinson Blvd, Frankfort, KY 40601 No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. If Bid Amount exceeds $25,000.00, the Bidder awarded the contract shall execute a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and shall furnish insurance as required in the General Conditions. The Bidder awarded this contract shall complete the project within 270 calendar days after the date of authorization to start work. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $800 per calendar day. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit his bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. These include Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.0.11246. Further, Title VI Minority bidders are encouraged to bid. Having examined the plans and specifications with related documents and the site of the proposed work, and being familiar with all of the conditions surrounding the construction of the proposal project including the availability of materials and labor, hereby processes to furnish all labor, materials, and supplies, and to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents, within the time set forth therein, and at the prices stated below. These prices are to cover all expenses incurred in performing the work required under the contract documents of which this proposal is a part. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Mr. Vaughn Williams, PE at vwilliams@kenvirons.com, Kenvirons, 770 Wilkinson Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601 and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
