The Town of Spencer invites bids for the construction maintenance of various streets in the Town of Spencer during the period November 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025. The bids include Bituminous Concrete Type I and Road Reconstruction. Bid deposit equal to five per-cent (5%) of the value of the bid for all items and Commonwealth of Massachusetts tax attestation are required to be attached to the vendor's bid. Successful bidder must also furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials bond of a surety company or companies qualified to do business in the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Town in the amount of 100% of the cost of the work, as well as a certificate of insurance showing workers' compensation and general liability insurance in the amount of no less than $1,000,000 and other coverages as specified. The Town of Spencer reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any in-formalities as it is deemed in the public interest of the Town to do so.
