This will serve as a Notice of Intended Procurement for the subsequent Tender as per Chapter nineteen: Government procurement of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. Regina Mundi College Secondary School The London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) invites interested General Contractors and Associated Sub-Contractors to apply for pre-qualification for Demolition, Site Service, Paving, Designated Substances Abatement, Concrete Formwork and Placement, Structural Steel, Masonry, Millwork, Aluminum Glass and Glazing Systems, Exterior Metal Siding Systems, Gypsum Wallboard and Acoustic Ceiling Systems, Engineered Wood Gymnasium Flooring, Painting, Mechanical, Sheet Metal, Fire Protection (Sprinkler), Electrical, and Data Wiring for a subsequent Tender process that includes the demolition of current Regina Mundi College Secondary School and New build Catholic Secondary School. The LDCSB proposes to build a new Catholic Secondary School located at 5200 Wellington Road South in the City of London at the existing Regina Mundi College site. The new two-storey building of approximately 7,932 gross square metres will be a combination of steel frame and load-bearing masonry. The new roofing will be a cold applied roofing system. The existing Regina Mundi Catholic Secondary School must be kept fully operational during the construction of the new secondary school including full access around the school for students, staff, school buses, deliveries, etc. The abatement of designated substances and demolition of the existing Regina Mundi Catholic Secondary School (approximately 15,600 gross square metres) will take place once the new building has been completed suitable for occupancy. Phased site work including driveways, parking areas, and landscaping will take place both before and after the new construction. The estimated value of the proposed project is approximately $35,000,000, which includes an estimated amount of $4,700,000 for demolition and removal of designated substances. The estimated mechanical value of approximately $6,000,000.00, the estimated electrical value of approximately 3,000,000.00, and the estimated roofing value of approximately $2,000,000.00. The project is expected to be issued for a stipulated sum tender (CCDC2) in January 2024 with construction commencing March 2024 and occupancy planned for January 2026. Only Proponents that achieve an overall minimum score of 85% will be eligible for this prequalification list. A minimum of 5 contractors must prequalify in order for a list to be made. Only the Proponents selected, during the Prequalification procurement process, as Prequalified General Contractors will be eligible and invited to submit a bid for the subsequent Tender. The intent of the subsequent Tender will be to establish a General Contractor responsible for all labour, materials, equipment & supervision necessary to complete demolition and construction of the new Catholic Secondary School. Tender documents are planned to be published January 2024. The London District Catholic School Board is issuing this Request for Qualifications for Contractors who are interested, qualified and are capable of undertaking the projects the LDCSB will be tendering.
