Bidders deposit will be refunded if the set is returned to REV in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the BALDWIN PUBLIC LIBRARY, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for sixty (60) days after the formal bid opening. All bonding companies supplying bid, performance and maintenance bonds are required to provide with the bid package the following required information. Bidders failing to provide this information will not be considered. A Performance and Payment bond will be required for the work. Each shall be in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. Refer to Article 11 of the General Conditions for requirements associated with such bonds. The Board of Trustees reserves the right in its discretion to reject all or any part of any bid and to re-advertise for new bids in accordance with Section 103 of the General Municipal Law.
