Replacement doors shall be treated to the same finish, design, and colour as the original doors to be compatible with the forecourt space, while maintaining the same mouldings and moulding profiles of the original doors. Door security building requirements shall be considered. The National Library and Public Archives is a Classified Federal Heritage Building, and any intervention must be compatible with the heritage character of the building. Any proposed interventions should follow an approach of minimal intervention and should take into account the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places (2010).
