The project generally consists of earthwork, roadway construction, sidewalk with City/TAS/ADA compliant wheelchair ramps construction, storm sewer/box installation, sanitary sewer installation, and water line installation within undeveloped right-of-way. The engineer's estimated cost of this project is approximately $2.5 M. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of La Porte in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid price submitted must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance and payment bond as provided in the contract documents for the full amount of the contract. The TIRZ reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any and all technicalities and to accept any bid or part thereof, which in the opinion of the TIRZ board, is most advantageous to the TIRZ. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the bid, the TIRZ reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof or to reject the bid.
