DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project includes HVAC and Plumbing equipment replacements for Charlotte Fire Station #37, located at 13828 South Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28278. The scope of work includes replacing five (5) roof top air conditioning units with gas heating, one (1) roof mounted energy recovery ventilator, two (2) gas fired water heaters, and related updates to power and controls for all roof top equipment and interior VVT zone dampers. All work is to be completed in a manner to allow Charlotte Fire to maintain full access and use of the facility during the entire scope of the project. PROJECT LOCATION: CHARLOTTE FIRE STATION #37 13828 SOUTH TRYON STREET, CHARLOTTE, NC 28278 PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE VISIT ATTENDANCE Prospective Bidders, subcontractors, specialty contractors, and suppliers will have an opportunity to ask questions and familiarize themselves with the Project. A walk-through of the projectsite will occur directly after the pre-bid meeting to obtain a better understanding of the project scope of work. Any information exchanged during the meeting that impacts the project bid documents or the bid process is non-binding unless subsequently issued in an addendum. The pre-bid meeting and site visit are not mandatory, but attendance is strongly advised. All requests must be submitted no later than seven (7) full calendar days, as stated herein or as amended by addendum, prior to the day that bids are due.
