A payment and performance bond will be required for this bid if total cost exceeds $25,000.00. The amount of each of the bonds will be 50% of the contract price unless otherwise indicated in the technical specifications. The successful bidder shall supply the performance and payment bonds to the Finance Department within (10) business days of bid opening. Questions on this bid are to be emailed to Fincontracts@kenner.la.us no later than FIVE (5) working days prior to bid opening. Please reference bid number in all requests. SCOPE OF WORK/SERVICES The scope of work/services to be provided under this contract include, but not limited to, furnish and install Modern Shade* Cantilever Umbrella Shades with concrete footers. The material shall be of new, of current manufacture and must meet all State and Federal safety standards in effect at the time of installation. Any items appearing in the manufacture's regular publish specifications furnished by the bidder are assumed to be included in the "Bidder's Proposal". Any additional deletions or variation from manufacturer's regular public specifications must be outlined in an attached letter. *Where brand names and stock numbers are specified, it is for the purpose of establishing certain minimum standards of quality. Bids may be submitted for products of equal quality provided brand names and stock numbers are specified. Complete product data of equal products may be required prior to award. Contractor must possess all labor, materials and equipment/tools necessary to complete all necessary work. GI.2 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS o Contractors must bid on all items of work. Failure to do so will cause the contractor's bid to be rejected. The bidder must indicate the cost of materials where indicated. o Contractors are responsible for their own measurements for complete accuracy. Please see site visit information. o Removal, disposal and installation of materials shall be undertaken in a safe and workmanlike manner. o All Public Bid Law requirements, as they pertain to this bid, are applicable. GI.3 RESPONSE TIME Contractor must possess a workforce and necessary equipment/tools to be able to begin work within fifteen (15) days of written Notice to Proceed from the Department of General Services.
