Question Deadline 10/13/2023 at 12:00 PM CT document that all questions must be submitted by noon on Friday, We highly encourage all questions be submitted prior to Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10:00 am, in order in allow enough time for complete answer This is a contract with the City of Angleton for the construction and installation of a new pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) of approximately 3,240 sq. ft. with three (3) engine bays and storage spaces to serve as an Addition to Angleton Fire Station #3. This contract shall commence upon approval by the City Council. The City will have the right to seek the services of alternate vendors under the conditions that the contractor is not able to perform the work specified. The Purpose of this Request for Bids is to request qualifications, fee, general conditions, and construction cost from responding firms in order to gain adequate information by which the City may evaluate the responding firms with the end goal of awarding the contract to the lowest responsible bidder which shall be the best qualified firm to perform the requested services. The award of contract will include a selection process that complies with Chapter 2269 of the Tesas Government Code. A qualified and properly equipped contractor, with a proven history of constructing and installing preengineered metal buildings will be selected. The scope of services will, at a minimum, include the following: 1) All construction services shall be performed in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, and regulations. 2) The Contractor is responsible for coordinating with the City-appointed Project Manager and the Architect. 3) The Contractor will provide other special construction services required to complete the Project. 4) The building must meet ADA regulations. 5) The contractor will be responsible for securing the area where work is taking place on city property as well as coordination of all work so as not to create any undue interruptions of the normal operation of the area. 6) The contractor will be responsible for the repairs or other damage that might be caused during the execution of this contract. 7) Site cleanup shall take place at the end of each day and at the completion of the Project with all materials and debris generated during the job removed from the work areas. This includes the parking lots, sidewalks, driveways and any other areas affected by the work
