Questions will be answered and posted to the Kent State University Office of the University Architect webpage Total Project Cost $1,000,000.00 State Funding $0 Construction Cost $650,000.00 Scope of Services The selected Design-Builder ("DB"), as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposal, will discuss and clarify with the Contracting Authority and/or Owner, the breakdown of the Agreement detailed cost components, to address the Owner's project requirements and refine the project schedule. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: develop and maintain estimates of probable construction cost, value engineering, project schedules, and construction schedules; lead The corridor improvement project will provide a refresh of the architectural finishes, removal of lockers in select locations, and deliver a space that is bright and inviting for students providing opportunities for social interactions, relaxation, and diverse learning experiences. The corridors will also be re-imagined as a common area that offers students a chance to connect with peers, engage in group discussions, and collaborate on projects. They also provide a break from the structured environment of the classroom, allowing students to unwind, manage stress, and recharge. The Program of Requirements ("POR") will be developed as a part of this project by the Kent State University Office of the University Architect acting as Criteria Architect/Engineer ("Criteria A/E"). Preliminary design concepts and budgets have been provided to the Office of the University Architect by a third-party consultant. This full study will be provided to the short-listed teams as part of the RFP package. All aspects of the project and related issues will be implemented and operated consistent with the Contracting Authority and/or Owner's policies and procedures.
