Washington County Board of County Commissioners is requesting bids for Deployable Flood Panel Barrier System . Washington County Board of County Commissioners accepts no responsibility for any expenses incurred by bidders in the preparation of a response to this bid. Washington County Agriculture Center invites qualified contractors to participate in this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the installation of a deployable flood panel barrier system. The primary objective of this project is to fortify the Agriculture Center against potential flooding events and water intrusion by strategically deploying a 4-foot high flood barrier panel system around the exterior of the facility. The anticipated location of the flood barrier panel system is illustrated in the accompanying map (exhibit J), providing bidders with a visual reference for project planning. Contractors interested in this project are expected to perform a comprehensive site assessment, encompassing the examination of the facility's layout. Furthermore, bidders are encouraged to propose a customized 4-foot high flood barrier panel system that addresses the specific needs of the Agriculture Center, including materials, dimensions, and installation methods. It is essential that the flood barrier panel system be easily deployable and easily stored when not in use to enhance its functionality. Additionally, contractors will be responsible for procuring high-quality materials, executing a test installation, conducting comprehensive testing, and providing training on system deployment and maintenance to County personnel. All questions regarding this BID should be directed in writing via email to kbirge@washingtonfl.com. Questions shall be submitted no later than 12:00 noon CST on October 25, 2023. Any questions submitted after that date and time will not be answered. All questions submitted prior to that date and time will be reviewed and answered. If applicable, answers citing the question asked, but not identifying the questioner, will be distributed to all known prospective BIDDERs.
