Furnishing professional engineering services for the Centennial Crossing Pond Retaining Wall project roject Description Centennial Crossing pond is a Village owned facility at Fairway Dr. and Rt. 45 in the Village of Vernon Hills. The pond contains three individual sections of retaining walls that are currently failing. The Village is requesting proposals for professional engineering services to evaluate the extent of damage, create a repair or replacement strategy, and design detailed construction documents for the implementation of the selected improvements. Scope of Services Topographic survey as necessary for the design of detailed construction documents Geotechnical and environmental services necessary for retaining wall design and CCDD certification Preparation of all necessary construction documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the repair or replacement of the failing retaining walls. Plans should include: o Civil engineering and site grading o Structural wall details o Landscaping and restoration plans o Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Permitting services for all applicable permits including IEPA and Lake County SMC Construction administration services including o RFI and submittal approval o Pre-Construction meeting attendance o Punchlist development and final walkthrough support Schedule The following schedule is tentative and subject to change during the project planning phase. October 17, 2023 - Project Award at Village Board December 1, 2023 - Concept Plan and Budgetary Cost Estimate Complete March 15, 2024 - Final Contract Documents Complete May 1, 2024 - Construction Permits Received May 15, 2024 - Construction Start
