BID # 202353.1 2023 COUNTY BOND HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT OF VARIOUS ROAD. MOSS MILL/DUERER ST. (CR 561), ENGLISH CREEK RD. (CR 575), MILL ST. (PORT REPUBLIC), MOSS MILL RD. (CR 561), SOMERS POINT-MAYS LANDING RD. (CR 559) & SPRUCE AVE (CR 684) (BID BOND AND CONSENT OF SURETY REQUIRED) The project involves the resurfacing of various roadways throughout Atlantic County, by milling pavement at various depths and repaving with HMA Surface Course. Traffic Control measures will be provided by the contractor. Improvements where necessary include: Driveway Replacements, Traffic Striping/Markings/Symbols, Guiderail Improvements, Raised Pavement Markers, Drainage Installation, resetting inlet castings with new bicycle safe grates and Eco-curb head pieces, Base and Sub base repaired and/or reconstructed where necessary, and replacement and recoding of striping/marking patterns as necessary and as directed, as well as all other items shown on the project plans. Major work items (i.e. Milling/Paving) will be allowed on only one County Roadway at a time, unless otherwise approved by the County Engineer. Traffic may be detoured if necessary as per the traffic control plan or an alternating traffic scheme may be used. Each phase of work must be scheduled to complete HMA paving prior to the end of the work week and must be approved by the County Engineer or a Representative Any questions concerning this specification must be submitted in writing through the electronic bidding portal question section of the specific bid Questions must be submitted no later than October 16, 2023 Bidders are required to comply with requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Every bidder must abide by the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act,. NJSA 34:11-56.27 et seq. By order of the County Executive of the County of Atlantic.
