Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood LLC. PLEASE NOTE: The estimated value listed for this project is for searchability purposes only and does not reflect the actual construction budget as determined by the owner. It should not be used for estimation purposes at this time. The Project includes the following Work: 355 sq yds of concrete sidewalk, 4" thick, 115 sq yds of concrete driveway, 6" thick (includes wire mesh), 95 sq ft of detectable warning surface and other miscellaneous items for sidewalk construction including traffic control and erosion control items. A cashier's check (drawn on an Alabama bank) or bid bond for 5% of the amount bid (maximum of $10,000) and made payable to the City of Arab must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith. This project shall be constructed according to Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Specifications, latest edition. This project is not managed nor funded by ALDOT. Any deviance from ALDOT specifications will only be allowed with express written permission from the Owner. All bidders shall submit, upon request, a list of projects "successfully completed" in the last 2 years, having a similar scope of work and approximate construction cost as specified in this project. All bidders must comply with requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the best and most responsible bidder.
