Waterfront Storm Line Relocations Phase 2 Est. Value Notes: 1.3 Million- 2.5 Million The work to be done under this contract consists of connecting to an existing 36-inch RCP stub out on N 8th Street, installing 167 LF of 36-inch RCP north along N 8th Street to a new 72-inch manhole at the intersection of Portway Avenue and N 8th Street, then installing 100 LF of 36-inch RCP northwest along Portway Avenue to a new 72-inch manhole on Portway Avenue, then installing 315 LF of 36-inch RCP north on a parcel of land owned by the Port of Hood River to a new 60-inch manhole near the Columbia River, then installing 52 LF of 36-inch RCP to a new outfall in the Columbia River, and constructing a new outfall complete with flap gate, pre-cast concrete headwall, and rip rap bank armoring. The new outfall and portions of the new storm will be installed below the ordinary high water (OHW) elevation of the Columbia River. The work also includes a new multi-use path on the parcel of land owned by the Port of Hood River, installing one 48-inch manhole, a catch basin, a treatment catch basin, and one treatment vault. The treatment catch basin and vault will connect to an existing storm drain in N 8th Street. Associated work includes asphalt concrete pavement grind and inlay of N 8th Street and Portway Avenue; sidewalk, curb, driveway, and multi-use path restoration, landscaping, erosion control, and traffic control. The work may also include abandoning in-place 850 LF of 48-inch CMP storm drain line and a storm manhole by filling with low density cellular concrete, and associated work including installation of temporary pipe plugs or bulkheads, excavation, shoring, and dewatering. This inclusion of this work depends on the timing of storm drain system improvements with the City's wastewater treatment plant. The pipe abandonment work is included as a bid alternate item. The work is more particularly described in the project plans. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Inquiries concerning the contents of the plans, specifications and bidding documentsshould be directed to Randy Achziger, Project Manager for the City of Hood River The deadline for questions is October 19 at 5:00 p.m
