No Bid Bond is required if Respondents offer is less than $500,000. If the offer is withdrawn after Solicitation opening, Respondent may be removed from the Bidder's List (Vendor Registration) pursuant to Kent County Purchasing Central Purchasing and Open Market Procedures for Goods and Services section D.13 Failure to Perform Satisfactory. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys in fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for Johnson Park Trailhead Development at 4101 Butterworth St. SW, Walker, MI 49534. This project consists of expanding the existing parking lot, new pathways, storm water improvements, site amenities, site restoration and landscaping. Once the project is started, work will be continuous until the point of completion. Project must be complete by December 31, 2024. Kent County, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, or award to the Respondent deemed most advantageous, while reserving the right to weigh other factors in the decision. Kent County reserves the right to waive irregularities of the Solicitation process or award by line item when applicable. Where price is a consideration, delivery, project schedule, warranty, maintenance, and life cycle costs will be utilized in evaluating this award. The undersigned bidder has carefully examined the plans and specifications for the construction of Johnson Park Trailhead Development as prepared, and having carefully examined the site and completely familiarized themselves with local conditions affecting the cost of the work; hereby states that they will provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, machinery, apparatus and all other means of construction, do all the work and furnish all materials called for by said plans and specifications in the manner prescribed in accordance with the requirements of the contract, specifications and drawings; and will accept as full and complete payment therefore the Lump Sum Bid Amount.
