Base Bid 1- The reprofiling of Grandview Avenue from Laauwe Place to 500' south of Fox Hollow Road including the replacement of curb, sidewalk and driveway aprons. Base Bid 2- The reprofiling of Grandview Avenue from 500' south of Fox Hollow Road to 335' south of Fox Hollow Road including the replacement of curb, sidewalk and driveway aprons. Also included is the milling and resurfacing of Grandview Avenue from 335' south of Fox Hollow Road to 427 Grandview Avenue including spot curb and sidewalk replacement, minor drainage improvements and the reconstruction of all non-compliant ADA curb ramps. Alternate Bid- The milling and resurfacing of Grandview Avenue from 427 Grandview Avenue to Wyckoff Avenue including the reconstruction of all non-compliant ADA curb ramps. Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid 1- . 845 S.Y. Removal of Pavement . 845 S.Y. Dense-Graded Aggregate Base Course, 6" Thick . 220 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course . 500 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb Base Bid 2- . 605 S.Y. Removal of Pavement . 605 S.Y. Dense-Graded Aggregate Base Course, 6" Thick . 600 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course . 775 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb Alternate Bid- . 2,035 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" Or Less . 300 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course . 115 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick . 5,720 L.F. Traffic Markings Lines, 4" The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by August 30, 2024. Project work on Grandview Avenue between Ravine Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue shall not commence prior to June 25, 2024 Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the IMPROVEMENTS TO GRANDVIEW AVENUE, PHASES I & II. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
