The City of Sandy Springs ("City" or "Sandy Springs") is soliciting responses ("Response(s)") to this RFP to select a qualified consultant to provide design services ("Consultant") for the Glenridge Drive Sidepath (Hammond Drive to Wellington Trace) project ("Project"). The goal of the Project is to improve the safety and operations of the City's transportation system with a bike/ped sidepath from Hammond Drive to Wellington Trace. This scope of work will connect the proposed sidepath on the east side of Glenridge Drive from Hammond Dr. to 5795 Glenridge Drive. Design will require ADA ramps, retaining walls, pedestrian lighting, and a hydrology study for the road and storm drainage system as warranted. Attachment A indicates the location of the proposed sidepath project. Additionally, this Project should incorporate the Perimeter Center Improvement District (PCID) Public Space Standards, current edition (lighting, brick pavers, and landscaping). This Project is being funded jointly by the City with the Transportation Special Purpose Location Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) and with matched funding by the PCID. The S2193/TS193 Hammond Drive Corridor project is currently in the design phase. The project construction limit is proposed to end on the west side of the Hammond Drive/Glendridge Drive intersection.
