The Tourism Commission of Grayson KY invites proposals from General Contractors to provide all Work, including labor, material, equipment, supplies and transportation for: Renovation of an Existing Building 166 East Main Street Grayson, Kentucky 41143 The Work includes but is not limited to selective demolition, concrete work, wood stud construction, wood roof trusses, insulation, wood & hollow metal doors & frames, drywall, painting, wood trim, resilient flooring & base, acoustical ceilings, exterior insulation & finish system, roofing, ductwork, HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, lighting, sprinkler and alarm systems. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Architect and this Invitation for Bids. The contract documents as Bidding Documents may be examined at: o Offices of the Owner- By appointment only at the Tourism Cabin, Grayson City Park, Carol Malone Blvd, Grayson, KY o By appointment with the architect, Robert J. Summerfeldt, (540)915-8333 o C&B Blueprint Co. 824 Sixth Street, Huntington, WV 25701, (305)525- 2175 Questions raised at that meeting and others received in writing and/or by email will be answered by Addenda issued not less than 3 days prior to the Bid Opening. No bids will be received by FAX or email. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. After the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days. All Bidders are required to furnish satisfactory Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Bid. Bidders are required to comply with all requirements indicated in the bidding documents. The project is funded by local funds and a grant from USDA Rural Development and Davis-Bacon wage rates are NOT required. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of the Contract price. The project requires that the work be substantially completed not later than one-hundred eighty (180) calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The Owner will pay the Contractor a bonus of $100.00 per calendar day for earlier completion. If completion is delayed beyond 180 calendar days, the Contractor shall pay the Owner Liquidated Damages of $500.00 per calendar day. Legitimate changes to the project time may be made by Change Order that are requested in a timely manner and agreed to by the Owner. Standard A.I.A. Requests for Payment shall be submitted monthly to the Architect, forwarded within ten calendar days to the Owner and paid approximately thirty days thereafter. Ten percent (10%) retainage shall apply to the entire project and for 61 calendar days after Substantial Completion.
