Valley Suburban Fire Protection District No. 5 (the "District") is accepting bids for snow and ice removal for the 2023-2024 winter season at the District's fire station located at 210 West Church Street, Valley, Nebraska 68064 (the "Fire Station"). Ail inquiries or questions should be directed via e-mail to Ms. Carlson. A contract will be awarded at the District's October 19, 2023 meeting. 1. A contract will be awarded at The initial contract will be for one (1) year from the date of execution with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms upon written agreement of the District and contractor. 2. Contractor shall agree to furnish ail labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to perform the following work: a. Snow removal at the Fire Station on all sidewalks, walkways, and in front of all apparatus bays when snowfall has stopped or 1" of snow has accumulated on such areas, whichever comes first, and no later than 8 a.m. b. Immediately after snow removal, contractor shall apply a de-icing material on ail sidewalks and walkways. c. Snow shall be piled up in a spot that does not block any sidewalks, walkways, apparatus bays, or any other areas designated by the District that are necessary to perform its operations. 3. Any damage to the Fire Station grounds shall be reported to Ms. Carlson within fortyeight (48) hours after the damage occurs. Contractor shall be responsible for fixing ail damage caused by Contractor within seventy-two (72) hours after the damage is reported. 4. Contractor may not charge the District for travel time. 5. Ail invoices shall include the date of service and how long services were performed. 6. Once the contract is awarded, contractor snail furnish the District with a Certificate of Insurance in the kinds and minimum amounts as required in the District's sole discretion. the District's October 19, 2023 meeting.
