Temporary Ice Rinks at North Thornhill Community Centre and Secord Park. The City seeking services for temporary outdoor ice rinks. This means the City will only be requiring services for one (1) season and will not be purchasing any materials or equipment. All equipment provided will be that of the contractors. This City is looking for a qualified contractor to supply and install all equipment and material related to creating an outdoor refrigerated ice rink on top of our existing tennis court. An engineering subfloor is to be created to create a leveled surface for the ice and protect the existing tennis court. All refrigeration equipment and related equipment should be house in a secure area tennis court. The ice rink should be a min. of 40'x80' / 30'x 60' with wrap around guard to protect patrons and staff using the facility. Upon the system being installed, the ice must be established with all operating components functioning for a minimum of 5 days prior to sign off the work being completed. Complete orientation and training must be provided to facility staff for maintenance and upkeep at our North Thornhill Community Center location. The ice rink should be operational between December 14th 2023 through to March 10th 2024. Documents may be obtained at https://vaughan.bidsandtenders.ca/ Award subject to final approval.
