All questions about the meaning or intent of the Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer via email at JMPopielarczyk@tighebond.com. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of quotes. Town of Erving is soliciting quotes for the Water Storage Tank Mixer Project. Contractors are being asked to provide quotes emailed back to Joe Popielarczyk at jmpopielarczyk@tighebond.com and the Town of Erving at bryan.smith@erving-ma.gov by the deadline. The existing water storage tank is a 600,000 gallon welded steel water storage tank constructed in 1983 by Caldwell Tank. The reservoir-style storage tank is 52-feet in diameter and 40-feet high with a dome roof. This project includes furnishing and installing a new water storage tank mixer system as identified in Appendices A and B including all electrical connections. An existing enclosure mounted to the water storage tank housing a 240 volt panel board with spare circuits is available for required electrical connections. The intent of this project is to furnish and install a new water storage tank mixer system including all components represented in Appendices A and B ready for use by the Town. See Section 2, Scope of Services and Appendices A and B of this Request for Quotes (RFQ) for a detailed description of the solicitation requirements The work consists of the furnishing and installing the new water storage tank mixing system as represented in Appendices A and B including but not limited to the water storage tank mixer, electrical junction boxes, conduit, wire, and required connections, future chemical injection tubing, conduit, and quick connections, testing of the system, and obtaining and abiding by all required permits. The work shall be coordinated with the Town and their Engineer. The Contractor Plan of Services should at a minimum include the following: 1. Furnishing insurance and bonds within 15 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. 2. Completing the Work within 60 days of the Notice to Proceed. 3. Satisfying the performance requirements contained in Appendix A Drawings and Appendix B Specifications. 4. Mobilization and demobilization. 5. All labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work, as described in this RFQ. Contractor Materials and Services Procurement The Town intends to select and make an Agreement with a qualified and experienced Contractor to supply the equipment and services described above. An Agreement will be awarded, if at all, to the responsive and responsible Contractor, whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous. 3. AGREEMENT REQUIREMENTS The successful Contractor will enter into an Agreement with the Town to provide the materials and services necessary to complete the work under this RFQ. A draft agreement is included in Appendix C. It is anticipated that the Contract between the Town and the Contractor will be executed within 30 days of receipt of quotation and is to be completed within 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. Invoicing shall be monthly. 4. CONTRACT INSURANCE The requirements for insurance to be provided by the Successful Contractor are stated in the draft agreement document provided in Appendix C. The required insurance certificates will become part of the Contract Documents.
