A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. Exterior Work: Removal of existing backup generator. Construction of new generator enclosure(s), installation of new generator(s), and associated site improvements. 2. Interior Renovation: Demo of existing Data Center room. Remodel of existing 2nd floor office spaces into a new, larger Data Center. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract Any prospective proposer desiring any explanation or interpretation of the solicitation must make a written request no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 17, 2023. The request must be addressed to Jaye Latch, County Purchasing Director and emailed to purchasing@smith-county.com. The project scope includes a partial interior renovation of existing office spaces into an enlarged Data Center. Payments will be made after items or services have been received in accordance with the award. Smith County reserves the right to accept or reject in whole or in part any bid received and to waive any irregularities or formalities in the best interest of Smith County. Bid Bond is required. Smith County Commissioners Court reserves the right to make all final decisions. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. This project is being funded in whole or in part using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
