The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material associated with the Substation Snow Removal Service project. The work generally includes snow and ice removal services for the sidewalks and driveways at the sixteen (16) Electric Utility substations. . The City maintains an Open Access account whereby all bidding information and e-bidding capabilities are accessible under any subscription plan. Incomplete submittals may be rejected as non-responsive. Infrequent or first-time users of electronic bidding are encouraged to upload their bid responses at least 24 hours prior to bid opening. The City is not responsible for submittal errors or incomplete bid submissions. Due at Bid Opening: Affidavit of Compliance Signed Offer to Contract Bid Worksheet Bid Deposit (10% of Total Bid) Prevailing Wage Applies (Prevailing Wage Applies (DuPage and/or Will County as applicable)) References Due Before Award: Certificate of Insurance (with signed endorsements) Substance Abuse Prevention Program Due within thirty (30) days of Award: Contractors Safety Checklist (before work begins) All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted in writing at least five business days prior to the online bid opening to Ryan La Russo at larussor@naperville.il.us. The deadline for questions is Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 by 12:00 p.m. If required, a written response in the form of an addendum will be issued. No contact with the Electric Utility Department shall be made during the bid process. Questions asked after the deadline are not guaranteed a response. Bid security in the form of a certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Naperville, or a satisfactory bid bond, in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid must be scanned and submitted with the E-Bid response. During the bid review process, the City may require a bidder to submit the original bid security to confirm authenticity. The contract shall be effective for the 2023 - 2024 winter season, approximately November 15, 2023 to April 30, 2024 with two, one-year options to renew. Consideration for the option years is dependent on available funding, costs and the Contractor's performance.
