Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a contract. All bids will remain firm for 60 days after the bid opening. The Bartlett Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities on a bid, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the Park District. PROTECTION OF PROPERTY: The Contractor shall protect all existing public properties so no damage may be caused by work or operations for this project. Contractor shall provide all Park District approved safety signage and barricades as necessary and maintain all of these until directed to remove them. The cost of this shall be considered included in the bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for having all utilities located prior to construction beginning and maintaining and preserving all locating. If any utilities are encountered which conflict with previous locating the Contractor shall notify the Park District so the conflict may be resolved. Damage including but not limited to utilities, adjacent building envelope, building interior, and landscaping including turf and trees shall be repaired to original condition by the Contractor at no additional costs to the Park District. Damages by others (vandalism) will be corrected or replaced by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Park District. The Park District shall cooperate with the Contractor to minimize vandalism, but the contractor shall be ultimately responsible to correct any damage. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall follow and utilize all standard construction practices for the replacement of the existing pool filtration system with a new Regenerative filtration system. This includes the replacement of the existing vertical turbine circulation pumps, new variable frequency drives, new HALO system controller, new flowmeter to be interlocked with system controller and new air compressor & air dryer. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FILTER RENOVATION Bidders shall quote materials and installation per the following, any additions, deletions, or variations must be approved. All construction shall conform to: o Construction Documents provided by WT Group o Village of Bartlett Codes as applicable. o Illinois Department of Health Codes as applicable. o Contractor must remove and properly dispose of materials per specifications o Storage of materials and / or equipment shall be arranged by the Contractor and the Park District. o Before acceptance by the owner and final payment, all work shall be inspected by the Park District, Park District's representative, and the Village of Bartlett.
