The project involves various civil and electrical improvements related to the installation of floating aerators and a floating tile cover and baffle system at the Lanai Wastewater Reclamation Facility. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance to Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractors. The Contractor, and his subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the law relative to the Prevailing Wage Schedule, as required under Chapter 104, HRS. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: cash, a cashier's check, a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the County of Maui in the manner, form, and amount required in Section 103D-323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total of the bid submitted. Bidders must correctly prepare and submit the documents listed in Section 00300, Proposal. Work under this contract consists of the addition of high-speed floating aerators in the Stabilization Ponds No.1-No.4, partial covers on Stabilization Ponds No.2 and No.4, and electrical modifications and upgrades to support the new aerators. These improvements consist of the following major elements: Installation of high-speed floating aerators o Four high-speed floating aerators each in Stabilization Ponds No.1 and No.3 o One high-speed floating aerator each in Stabilization Ponds No.2 and No.4 o Aerator installation will include anchor posts, anchor cables, power cables, anti-erosion plates, and cable floats o Cutouts on the existing baffle wall in Stabilization Pond No.3 to accommodate the new aerator anchor cables Installation of partial covers with baffle curtains o A floating tile cover and baffle curtain system will be installed in Stabilization Ponds No.2 and No.4 o Cover and baffle system will include baffle anchor cables, and baffle anchor posts o Cutouts on the existing baffle wall in Stabilization Pond No.2 to accommodate the new baffle anchor cables o Anchoring at the existing chlorine contact tank in Stabilization Pond No.2 Electrical modifications o Motor control center for the aerator motors o Control panel for aerator timers o Conduit and power to ponds for aerators o Combination disconnect switches and receptacles
