Question Deadline 10/06/2023 at 10:00 AM CT The City of Davenport is currently accepting bid from qualified vendors for concrete repairs at Fire Station 8. All work shall be done per SUDAS and City Supplemental to SUDAS. The awarded vendor shall be responsible for providing concrete repairs at the following location: Fire Station 8 2802 E. 53rd Street. Saw cut and remove approximately 2,040 square feet of cracked/settled/damaged concrete paving on the North and West side of the fire station. All work must be to code for City of Davenport concrete replacement. All approaches must be poured separately from the drive paving according to city specs. All excavation shall be 18 below existing grade. Subgrade shall be compacted to minimum 95% standard proctor density. A minimum of 8 compacted (GR-11) sub base. Where existing paving is being joined by new, #10 epoxy coated dowels shall be drilled and placed on 12 centers where applicable. See SUDAS detail 7010.101 RT Joint. Inlet boxout shall be completed per SUDAS 7010.103 Coordinate with station house prior to work completed for schedule to allow for station to remain operational for emergency services. All work adjacent or within City Right of Way shall require approval by traffic engineer. All drive location concrete poured shall be a minimum of 10 thick with a heavy mesh All sidewalk concrete shall be minimum 4 thick with minimum 3 aggregate subbase. Drain tile shall be approved SUDAS PVC material and shall be installed per SUDAS and connected to inlet/catch basin per SUDAS detail 4040.233 Work areas must be barricaded off All concrete removed must be saw cut full depth All control joints shall be sealed with hot tar, SUDAS 7010.101 detail A All areas that need backfilled shall be backfilled with black dirt and seeded with grass seed. Contractor is responsible for maintenance of all disturbed areas to be reseeded until areas are fully established with little to no weeds All areas shall be kept clean and all spoils and removed concrete shall be hauled away to an appropriate location off site All questions regarding this bid must be submitted in writing via the IonWave (city's ebidding system) questions tab no later than October 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM CST
