The UBC Applied Sciences Digital Design Studio is a two-story infill facility that will be built at the south end of the CHBE (Chemical and Biological Engineering Building) and will be integrated into the open-air courtyard. The building is designed as a two-level hybrid structure, to be constructed with structural steel, concrete floors, and a Mass Timber Roof (CLT). The building envelope will have ACM panels and storefront glazing. The building will be serviced and connected to the CHBE Building, taking advantage of the existing utilities, and the Sanitary and Storm connections to be discharged to the existing service lines.
