The Borough of Hollidaysburg, on behalf of its Shade Tree Commission, is requesting proposals for the removal of stumps within the Borough of Hollidaysburg's right-of-ways on an as-needed, on-call basis. The successful contractor will be called upon throughout the year to remove stumps as trees are cut down. All of the stumps are to be ground down to a minimum of at least six (6) inches below the surrounding ground level. The grinding may be left at the site for the property owners use (if acceptable to the property owner) or shall be removed by the stump removal contractor. The successful contractor will be responsible for any PA One Call notifications that may be required prior to removal of the stumps. If you are interested in providing a quote for this service, please obtain a copy of the scope of work from Patricia J. Duron at the Hollidaysburg Borough, 401 Blair Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Quotes should be submitted on business letterhead stating a per stump price per size (18 in. and under and 19 in. and over), shall specifically state that, if awarded the quote, the prices shall be held until December 31, 2024 and be signed by an authorized representative of the business. For additional information, please call 814-695-7543. The Borough of Hollidaysburg reserves the right to postpone or cancel receipt of quotes, and to accept or reject any and all quotes, in whole or in part if the best interest of the Borough will be served thereby. No quote shall be permitted to be waived nor returned because the bidder has failed to, or cannot comply with the requirements as set forth in the Scope of Work.
