This project includes repairing existing steel bridge members, abrasive blast cleaning and painting of steel bridge members, removing and disposing of existing timber decking and 9-inch nailer, removing existing bridge rail and reinstalling (with attachments) to existing steel floor beams, constructing new decking system on existing steel floor beams, jacking of existing steel bridge, modifying existing concrete abutments, excavation and backfilling as required to modify abutments, and installing new elastomeric bearings. Miscellaneous elements include removing and reinstalling decorative string lighting system, removing and restoring miscellaneous historic plaques, protecting in place existing electrical system, and modifying hanging system of existing planters.
