The City of Rochester is requesting bids for conversion of 2 small restrooms into 1 ADA accessible restroom at the senior center at the James W Foley Memorial Community Center Scope of Work Requirements - Scope of work will consist of demolition of the existing restroom including a CMU wall currently dividing the 2 restroom, 2 existing doors, 2 ceiling grid systems and acoustical tiles, 2 sinks, 2 toilets and 2 light fixtures. 1 horn strobe will need to be terminated and 1 will need to be relocated. Minor electrical work of outlet and switch removal/relocation will be required. The existing tile floor will need to be removed and brought down to concrete to accept a new LVT floor. Partial removal and replacement of existing concrete floor will be required to open access of the existing drainage lines so they can be reconfigured to accept the new location of a single sink and toilet all new plumbing will be contractors' responsibility. - Newly configured restroom will require filling in an opening in the CMU wall from the removed door and the other opening will require concrete cutting to make the opening large enough to fit a 3'0"x 6'8" door including installing a 1/4 steel lintel. 1 ADA compliant sink, faucet and toilet including all plumbing. 1 ADA compliant metal door with all hardware. New LVT flooring, new ceiling grid and acoustical tiles, 2 new light fixtures to match the building fixtures. Painting of the area to be included, paper dispensers will be supplied by the City of Rochester contractor will install. - Contractor will be responsible for the building permit (no cost) and any related drawing the codes department requests to obtain the permit. - Lay down area will be provided along with a dumpster, working hours the contractor will have access to the area is 6am to 5pm. An automated email confirmation will be generated to bidder once bid has been received. It is bidders responsibility to ensure proper email submission of bid, and to monitor for the confirmation email. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the City, the best interest of the City of Rochester will be promoted thereby.
