The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) by the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia (City) is to solicit sealed bids from interested vendors (Bidder) to provide asbestos abatement, structure demolition, and site restoration for eight (8) parcels located in the Forest Hills subdivision. The work is required to include asbestos abatement that is performed by a licensed and certified abatement contractor and will be in accordance with provided asbestos surveys that have been included as an appendix to this ITB. Following asbestos abatement, the contractor will demolition all denoted structures as shown in the attached appendix and as detailed later in this ITB. At the completion of demolition, the contractor will be responsible for backfilling all basements / crawlspaces with structural fill and placing permanent seeding.
