Kinetic Construction Ltd., the Construction Manager on behalf of Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation, will be requesting proposals for subcontractor Design-Assist for the following Services at the pre-construction and construction phases of this project: 01 - Mechanical Subcontractor 02 - Electrical Subcontractor 03 - Framing Subcontractor 04 - Formwork Subcontractor 05 - Excavation, Civil, and Shoring Subcontractor The Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation is developing a wood-framed multi-family project in Burnaby. The general design for the project will be 1 level of underground parkade, with 6 levels of wood-framing above. The project is being delivered under a Construction Management Delivery Model - using CCDC 5B 2010, including BC Housing and Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation's supplemental conditions, for Services during the Pre-Construction Stage, and execution of the Stipulated Price Option at completion of all subcontract tenders. During the current pre-construction stage, both the Construction Manager and the Corporation are seeking qualified subcontractors to join the Project Team, to provide design-assist services, to support the design stage and overall preconstruction services. The intention is for the selected design-assist subcontractors, at the completion of the pre-construction stage, to enter into contract with the Construction Manager for the Construction stage of the project. The construction phase of the project will be awarded separately and participating in this RFP process does not guarantee that the subcontractor will be awarded with the contract for the construction phase of the project.. This delivery method is uniquely distinguished by highly effective collaboration among the owner, designer consultants and subcontractors commencing at early design and continuing through to project handover.
