Cobb County Water System work is involved on this project. Only contractors or sub-contractors who have been prequalified with Cobb County Water System are allowed to perform water and sewer relocation work associated with this project. Bidders or their water/sewer subcontractor are required to have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License. For all bids on contracts involving utility work as defined in O.C.G.A. 43-14-1 et.seq., the Contractor and/or subcontractor(s) that will perform utility work must have a valid state of Georgia Utility Contractor License and comply with all applicable provisions of Chapter 14 of title 43 of O.C.G.A. All bidders submitting bids shall be prequalified or registered with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). All DBE firms, shall be registered through the GDOTs Unified Certification Program or UCP. The 2024 Countywide Unit Price contracts will be used for work to be identified on a project by project basis, with prices to consist of all labor, material, equipment and incidentals necessary for the completion of the work. Bid items are grouped as follows: The Bidder shall enter into a contract for future work and provide required proof of insurance after being notified of award of the Contract. A bid bond will not be required at time of bid. The Bidder shall furnish a 5% Bid Bond with any future Invitation to Bid, with a 100% Performance Bond and a 110% Payment Bond within ten (10) days after being notified of any work awarded that exceeds $25,000.00 concurrently under this contract. This contract is for an initial term of two (2) years and is renewable at the option of Cobb County Government for an additional period of one (1) year. The County does not represent or guarantee in any way that any work will be awarded under this contract.
