The Town of Cave Creek is proposing to combine multiple paving projects into one complete project. The projects consist of 5 roads requiring a complete mill and 2 1/2 -inch thick pavement installation as well as 2 roads requiring an edge mill and 2 1/2 -inch overlay. The complete mill and pave projects will consist of the complete mill and removal of the existing pavement in accordance with MAG Standard 317. Immediately following the milling of all existing pavement, the contractor will grade and compact the subgrade prior to placement of new asphalt. All new asphalt will be installed in accordance with MAG standard 321. The pavement installation would consist of 3/4 -inch asphalt in accordance with MAG Standard Specification 710. The combined areas to be completely milled and paved consist of portions of 48th St, N. Canyon Ridge Trail, Hidden Valley Dr, Skyline Drive, and 50th St. These areas of construction total approximately 121,500 square feet (13,S00SY). The combined areas to be edge milled and overlayed consist of portions of Highland Rd, and Rancho Manana Blvd. These areas of construction total approximately 57,980 square feet (6,442SY). The total combined area of these projects totals approximately 179,480 square feet (19,942SY). The successful bidder will be required to provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds in accordance with MAG Standard Specifications. The successful bidder will be required to provide insurances commensurate with those listed in the MAG Standard Specifications and name the Town as an additional insured as appropriate. The Town will retain a 10 percent of any payment made for completed work until such time as the project has been fully completed, equipment demobilized, and site cleared of any trash or debris associated with the construction. The project award is currently scheduled to go before Town Council for approval in November 2023, with the notice to proceed scheduled to be issued shortly thereafter. The completion of the project must be completed by June 30, 2024, to coincide with the closing of the Town of Cave Creek's fiscal year. Competitive proposals for the services specified in this notice will be received by the Town of Cave Creek at the above specified location until the time and date cited. Proposals must be in the actual possession of the Town of Cave Creek on or prior to the exact time and date indicated above. Late proposals will not be considered. The preparation of the RFP response will be at the expense of the respondent. The Town will not reimburse the respondent for any costs associated with the preparation or submission of any proposal.
